Mark Anthony Rowe
September 18, 1962 – October 24, 2007
It is with deep sadness that that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Mark Rowe. Lovingly remembered by his wife Karen, daughter Jamie, mother Daisy, brother Michael and nephew Matthew. Mark was predeceased by his father Noel Rowe in 1999.
Mark had a passion for life, worked hard and played even harder. He had the largest work ethic, if he said he would do something he meant it and did it; from work responsibilities to helping out a friend, his word was his bond.
Karen wishes everyone to remember Mark as the fun-loving, intelligent, and hard-working man that he was. Mark had a passion for playing ice hockey and softball. There are so many fond memories that we shared with our teams over the years of playing ball in Vernon. His love of playing ice hockey was the highlight of his week, even those late night games Sunday night, getting up Monday morning was never easy but he wouldn’t miss hockey for anything. Mark had a great sense of humour and loved to laugh at the simplest things in life. He loved the outdoors, fishing and camping especially, or just shooting off home-made rockets on the frozen Swan Lake with his daughter, Jamie. He truly was a big kid at heart.
For anyone wishing to say goodbye to Mark there will be visitation on Thursday, November 1st from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home on Friday, November 2nd at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Sean Wong officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
