Marvin Pfahl was born on July 2, 1936, in Hanna, Alberta to Christlieb and Rebecca Pfahl.
He moved off the family farm to Chilliwack, BC at the age of sixteen with his parents and younger sister. Marvin moved to Vernon, BC in 1966 where he raised 4 daughters, and later in life lived in Edmonton, AB.
Over the years Marvin worked in the retail and service industries. He was an accomplished amateur boxer who also enjoyed curling, darts, and softball. He loved a good game of poker.
He passed away peacefully in Kelowna on March 17, 2023, with family at his bedside.
Marvin is survived by his older brother, five daughters, one son, fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank the first responders with Kelowna's Emergency Health Services and the staff and volunteers at the Kelowna General Hospital for their expertise and compassion.
At Marvin's request there will be no memorial service.
