Mary Anna Fleming

Marie Lund Neilson Fleming passed away peacefully

at Polson Extended Care Facility

on Th ursday, September 4th, 2008.

She has been a successful business woman and a great contributor to her community.

Marie is best known for being the founder of the Performing Arts Center along with

many other achievements.

Marie will be lovingly remembered by her family; daughters, Shala Marie Grindlay,

Nola May Neilson-Gering (Ralph), Belva Lee (Steve) Underwood; daughter-in-law,

Judy (Ben) Hoy; sister, Verna Bill; brother, Bud (Eileen) Lund; ten grandchildren, Craig

(Satomi) Armstrong, Karen (Douglas) Hamilton, Wade (Tracy) Neilson, Drew (Amy)

Neilson, Marie Grindlay, James Grindlay, David Adam (Tova) Grindlay, Aaron

(Melodie) Stibich, Belva Lund Stone and Stuart Stone; great-great grandchildren,

Charlotte Armstrong, Ethan Stibich, Matthew Stibich, Gray Grindlay, Esther Grindlay,

Caleb Neilson, Elias Neilson, Rylie Neilson and Brady Neilson. Marie was predeceased

by her fi rst husband, Walter Neilson, her second husband, Stuart Fleming, and one son,

Lew Neilson.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Marie Fleming Rehearsal Hall at the Performing

Arts Centre on Friday, September 12th, 2008 beginning at 6:00 p.m.

All friends are invited to celebrate her life.

In lieu of fl owers, those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of

Marie may do so to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Auxiliary, 2101-32nd Street, Vernon,

B.C. V1T 5L2.
