It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Elaine Abbott (nee Blaney) on January 5th at the age of 67.
Mary was born November 26, 1950 in Vernon, B.C. to Archie and Muriel Blaney, the sixth of nine children. Raised in the Vernon and Lumby areas, Mary moved to Enderby after her marriage to Mickey in 1974. Together they raised their family on a dairy farm in Ashton Creek.
Mary is survived by her husband of 43 years, Mickey, children Sheila (Brandon) and Bruce (Jenna), grandchildren Cecily, Olivia, Grace, Dillan, Everett and William and sisters Muriel and Mavis.
Predeceased by her parents, Archie and Muriel and brothers David, Bert, Hugh, Donnie and Leonard and sister Margaret.
A service will be held Saturday, January 13th at 2 pm at Riverside Hall in Ashton Creek, 3784 Trinity Valley Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the North Okanagan Hospice Society would be appreciated, 3506 27th Avenue, Vernon, B.C. V1T 1S4.
