The loving family of Mary Girbav, mother, grandmother and great grandmother are saddened to announce her passing on January 24, 2004 at Alexander Wing in Vernon, B.C. Mary’s “Romanian Spirit” carried her to a long fruitful life of 93 years. Those that survive her can take comfort that she passed away peacefully after a long stay in extended care. Mary’s family wish to extend a thank you to her nurses and caregivers at Alexander Wing. Mary was predeceased by her husband of many years Paul Girbav, and her son Clarenence Girbav. Mary is survived by her daughter Marge (Norm), sons Leonard (Elinor), Ernest (Ann) and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home in Vernon, BC, on Friday, January 30, 2004 at 1:00 pm.
Mary will be reunited with her late husband Paul Girbav in internment in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
