Mary Hackman


Mrs. Mary Hackman (nee Popowich), a resident of Vernon since 1941, passed away in the Polson North Extended Care Unit of the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Monday, May 1st, 2006 at the age of 80 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Juanette (Gordon) Holdener of Revelstoke, B.C., her son, Marvin (Shirley) Hackman of Vernon, B.C., four grandchildren; Amanda (Dustin), Aaron, Timothy (Janet) and Curt (Cindy), five great-grandchildren; Jesse, Joel, Abby, Madeline and Jaida, three brothers; Mike (Olga) Popowich of Vernon, B.C., Fred Popowich of Cloverdale, B.C. and John Popowich of Springside, Saskatchewan and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband, Steve in 1995, two brothers; Bill Popowich in 2006 and Dan Popowich in 1981 and one sister; Nellie Petkus in 1973. Interment in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery preceded a Celebration Of Mary’s Life which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Saturday, May 6th, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Sean Wong officiating. A Reception will follow in the Tea Room at Bethel Funeral Chapel.
