July 2, 1930 - July 16, 2021
It is with sadness that we share with you the passing of our loving mother, Grandmother and great grandmother, Mary Helen Hareuther.
She was born in Vernon, BC on July 2, 1930 to Samuel and Margaret Chew. After marrying Larry they moved to Vermillion, Alberta for 20 years where they ran a grocery store with Larry's brothers and sisters.
They moved back to Vernon and she worked as a Caregiver at Noric House until her retirement.
Their love of the ocean and fishing moved them to Pender Harbour where they lived for 5 years. They returned to Vernon where they lived the rest of their lives.
Mary was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Margaret Chew, her husband Larry and daughters Judy Mallett and Mary Ellen Heldson.
She is survived by her sons John (Noreen) and James (Marilyn), 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and her fur baby Angel.
At her request, there will be no service.
