It is with much love and heartbreak that we tell of a great loss. Mary Jane passed away quietly in her sleep at home. She was born in Glace Bay, N.S. and was predeceased by her mother, father and sister, Marion. Mary Jane was an exceptional wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends who loved her so much. Survived by her husband of 52 years, Ian, daughters Nancy (Tom) Reed, Sandy (John) Parfitt, and son Bruce (Corinna) Campbell along with eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Marjorie (Ken) MacVicar and family (Halifax, N.S.) and nephew Kevin Sterns (New York). A special thank you to Dr. Ramesh Sharma for his years of special care for Mary Jane. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9th at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
