Mary Nasir Tarazi passed away quietly at home on Saturday, November 8, 2003. She was born May 18, 1910 in Beir Zait, Palestine. Mary was the wife of the late David Shibley Tarazi of Gaza, Palestine. She is survived by her daughter, Hala Spisso, her son-in-law, Kenneth Spisso, and their son, William. Mary is also survived by many relatives in Canada, the United States, and throughout the world. In her earlier ears, Mary was a schoolteacher at Beir Zait University, which is owned by her family. She immigrated to North America after World War Two, with her husband and daughter. Mary was a devoted housewife and mother; loved and cherished by all, but especially by her beloved family members. A private family Funeral Service was held on Thursday, November 13, at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Everton Weeks officiating. Interment followed in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Mary to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Endowment Fund, 2102 – 32nd St., Vernon, V1T 5L2.
