MARY VERTIN

January 31st, 1917 – February 17th, 2007

Mary Vertin was born in Austria and passed away in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 90 years. She lived in the Langley area for most of the past 50 years. Mary has now gone to be reunited with her beloved husband John, who left us on August 18th, 2004. His death was a loss which was very devastating for her and from which she never really recovered. Mary was predeceased by her brothers, Frank and Joe Reisinger. She is survived by four brothers, three sisters and their families as well as her nephew, Frank Fenzl and his family of Pitt Meadows, B.C. Mary & John loved to travel and spent many winters at their home in Happy Wanderers, Indio, California. Mary’s love of travel also took them back on many trips to her and John’s home areas of Austria and Yugoslavia. Mary will be missed and fondly remembered by her family and many friends. She would want us to express a special THANK YOU to the staff at Coldstream Meadows where she resided for the past eighteen months. Their kind and compassionate care was so appreciated. In respecting Mary’s wishes, she was cremated and there will be no Funeral Service held. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Mary to the B.C. Cancer Agency, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 5L3. Cremation arrangements were made with BETHEL FUNERAL CHAPEL LTD., 5605-27th Street, Vernon, B.C. V1T 8Z5 (250) 542-1187
