Mar 14, 1931 - Feb 13, 2018
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Matthew Charles Keith Winn on February 13th, 2018.

Keith is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Susan; his brother; Ron; his four children Julie (Steve) May, Chuck (Carol), Wendy (Jack) Blair and Fiona, his grandchildren; Aleshia, Lauren, Ryan, Lisa, Dawn, Amber, Mathew, Aiden, Sam, Zane, Adam and Scott, his great-grandchildren; Kaden, Maya, Isla, Keanna, Avery and Presley, his two fur babies; Poppy and Gucci along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Keith was born in Wolseley, Saskatchewan on March 14th, 1931 where his grandparents homesteaded in 1882. He was the youngest of five - three sisters; Norma, Irene and Verna and a brother, Ron. His family moved to Saskatoon in 1940 where he grew up playing football for the Hilltops, curling competitively, spending summer holidays working on his grandparents farm and hanging out at the lake cottage. Dad went to grade school at Wilson and King Edward, grade 9 - 10 at CPCI and grade 11 at the Saskatoon Technical Collegiate Institute.

He went into the construction and development business at 19, then went on to build numerous houses and apartments throughout Saskatchewan. On a vacation to England in 1959 is where the love story begins..... Keith met the love of his life, Susan in Bridlington, Yorkshire and they were married Friday, February 13th, 1960. He always said that was his lucky day!

The newlyweds returned to Saskatoon and welcomed their first born, Julie in 1961, followed by Chuck in 1963. Dad and mom then moved the family to Nanaimo, B.C. in 1965 where arrived Wendy that same year followed by Fiona in 1969.

Dad had a unique love for fishing, hunting and the great outdoors. Bathtub races and camping on the ocean left us with many unforgettable memories. Dad was forced to move to a drier climate due to his arthritis, so in 1973 we landed in Vernon where dad continued his career and raised his family. Dad was a man of simple tastes; for him gourmet cuisine was a moose roast, Yorkshire pudding and a few rum and cokes.

For everyone who knew him, he was a social butterfly. He loved joining the guys for coffee at his favourite hangouts, Waddy's and later McDonalds. Even if he didn't know you he would strike up a conversation, always laughing and joking.

He truly lived life to the fullest. He was kind, caring and loving and his family was always number one to him. He will be forever missed by all. In respecting dad's wishes, he was cremated and no funeral service will be held.

As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send a donation in memory of Keith to the Salvation Army. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Dyck and all of the gang at Gateby.
