It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mavis Solvige Andretta, 76, of Vernon British Columbia.
Mavis passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family on February 22nd, 2019 at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
Mavis was born the fourth child of eight children to Otto and Mable Olstad on November 3rd,1942 in Rose Valley, Saskatchewan.
Mavis was raised, and raised her own children in Vernon, British Columbia.
Mavis was a profound and memorable woman. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her, knew she was loving, assertive, hardworking, and true to her values. She loved to fish, camp, golf, paint, go to garage sales and on bus tours. She was an amazing cook; and most of all, she loved to Garden.
Mavis was a devoted wife and dedicated daughter, sister, mother and grandma.
Mavis was predeceased by her husband Valentino Andretta, her father Otto Olstad, her mother Mable Olstad and her brother David Olstad. Mavis is Survived by her 2 daughters Wendy Lee and Tracy Dawn. Grandchildren Miranda, Shelli and Nathan. 3 Great Grandchildren. Five sisters Johanna Martin, Bernice Hoffman, Karen StJohn, Sylvia Williams, Debra Olstad/ Doner. and her brother Marvin Olstad.
Funeral service will be held on March 4th, 2019 1 o'clock pm at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home.
