MAX GIGER JR. died at his residence in Spallumcheen on Saturday, January 25, 2003, with his family by his side. Aged 51 years. Max was born in Switzerland and came to Canada with his family in 1957. He lived at Westwold, Kamloops and McBride, where he completed his education and for a time lived at Summerland. The family came to the Armstrong area in 1978 where they have resided since. Max enjoyed welding, fixing things and fished in his spare time. He was employed with Vernon Paving. He leaves his loving family, wife, Anita, daughters, Leah and Isabel, both at home, parents, Max Sr. and Anna Giger, at Armstrong, brothers, Roy Giger (Wendy), Armstrong, Guido (Hilda), Westbank, nieces and nephews, Brandon, Daniel, Lierin, Cindy, Doug, and Dwain, extended family and many friends. Funeral service will be held at the chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home, 1980 Smith Drive, Armstrong, B.C. on Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. Reverend Lorraine Powell officiating. Cremation. A reception will follow the service in the tea room at the Funeral Home, all are welcome. Friends wishing to may make memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society.
