Max Melven Myers
Max was born on June 12th, 1926 in Hamlin District, Alberta and died peacefully at home in Vernon, B.C. on May 25th, 2022 at the age of 95 years.
Max is survived by his wife Donna; two daughters, Deborah (Malcolm) MacLeod of Sicamous, B.C. and Marilyn (Jim) Ivanitz of Kelowna, B.C.; his son-in-law, Doug Wittal of Kamloops, B.C.; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Norma (MacDonald) Myers; one daughter, Mona Wittal; and his only son, Calvin Myers.
Max was proud to have served in the RCMP as a young man and later went on to work in various occupations. He, Norma and their family moved to the Vernon area in 1966 where he taught at Paul's Driving School and drove school bus for School District #22 until he retired in 1991.
Max was a quiet, observant man who loved nature so the next time you hear the birds sing, please think of Max.
Cremation preceded the Funeral Service which was held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Saturday, June 18th, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. with Deacon Paul Murphy officiating.
