MAY (Johnson) BALDWIN passed away peacefully at Penticton on Tuesday, December 2, 2003, aged 96 years. May will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by sons Brian (Jody) Johnson of Falkland, Glenn Johnson of Summerland; daughter-in-laws Sheila Johnson of Summerland, Corrienne Johnson of Ladner, son-in-law Norman Collick, of 100 Mile House, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Predeceased by husband Sigurd Johnson in 1965, grandson Dick Johnson in 1997, son Garth and daughter Barbara in 2001. She was married to Gilbert Baldwin in 1969 and predeceased by him in 1976. May is also survived by Gilbert’s children Francis Baldwin of Calgary, Bill (Margo) Baldwin of Carbon and Mary (Fred) Meyers of Henrietta, NY. May was born in Alberta and was the last surviving member of her family. She had lived in Enderby from 1946 to 1967 when she moved to the coast. She moved to Armstrong in 1999 and to Trinity Lodge in Penticton in 2001 where she had resided since, May was active in the Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. On Saturday, December 6, 2003, a Graveside Service was held at Cliffside Cemetery, Enderby, followed by a Memorial Service and reception at the First Baptist Church, Armstrong, Pastor Don Reeve officiating. May requested that in lieu of flowers donations to Union Gospel Mission or The Gideons would be appreciated. Arrangements in the care of Mountain View Funeral Home, 546-8294.
