We regret to announce the passing of Melville Stanley “Bud” Rundell, beloved husband, father and grandfather, in the Merritt Health Center in Merritt, BC on Monday, August 9, 2004 at the age of 83 years. Bud was predeceased by his parents, one brother, Rod, and one sister, Elaine. Bud is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Aggie; three sons, Mel (Carmen) of Terrace, BC, Doug (Alana) of Victoria, BC and Dale of Calgary, AB; three daughters, Linda (Ray) Naess of Prince George, BC, Bev Rundell of North Vancouver, BC and Debbie (Rick) Laveay of Kamloops, BC; six grandchildren, Darcy (Rob) McNee of Victoria, BC, Cameron Rundell of Victoria, BC, Patrick Rundell of Victoria, BC, Donella Rundell of Prince George, BC, Fraser Laveay of Kamloops, BC and Sydney Laveay of Kamloops, BC; one brother, Gene Rundell of Denzil, SK; one sister, Doris (Kelly) Tait of Thunder Bay, ON and numerous nieces and nephews. Bud was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus in Saskatchewan and a current member of the Knights of Columbus in Vernon. He was also a veteran of World War II as an RCAF Flying Officer. Prayers will be recited on Friday, August 13th, 2004, at 7:00 pm at St. James Roman Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2004, at 10:00 am, Father Domingo Cedo, Celebrant, with reception and celebration of Bud’s life to follow at St. James Parish Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bud’s name may be made to the BC Lung Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the VERNON FUNERAL HOME (250-542-0155).
