Dec. 17, 1930 – February 23, 2014
Merv was born in Saskatchewan to Leo and Elizabeth Cody and the family moved to B.C. in 1940.
Merv was incredibly well loved, respected and worthy of everyone’s admiration. Quick to smile and reach out a hand or give a hug, Merv was an inspiration to all.
He loved to laugh, worked hard, played hard and overcame obstacles with the strength of both his powerful body and his amazing mind that refused to envision anything but a positive outcome.
Merv is survived by his best friend and loving wife of almost 60 years, Pat Cody, and their two children, Dale Cody and Janet Cody (Ray Morin) and grand-daughter, Bailey Morin; sister, Edith Ireland, and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Merv’s amazing legacy lives on in all who knew him, because anyone who knew Merv, could not help but be better for it. Our love for you is immeasurable and we travel with you through all time. XO
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, April 26. Please contact the family for details.
