ANDRONIK, Michael Richard
December 2, 1958 – June 15, 2013
With profound sadness we announce the premature passing of Michael Andronik at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Marilyn; his children: Kelsey, Byron, Tamara; and his parents, Richard and Cecile. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul, in 2004.
Michael was born in New Westminster, B. C. and grew up in the Lower Mainland. He graduated from St. Thomas More in Burnaby. He received a double diploma from BCIT in Wood Products Technology and Business Administration. Mike worked many years in the wood products industry and then changed his career in 2008. He did contract work as a paramedic and safety consultant in northern B. C. and Alberta.
Mike was a very energetic, vibrant and intense person who had many passions. He had a great love of sports and the outdoors. Mike was a soccer coach for all of his children for many years. He was obsessed with following and watching his favourite soccer team, Manchester United. Mike also loved to ski at Silver Star and hike, especially at Kal Park. He loved fishing at his family cabin in the Cariboo and was an active member of Fly B.C. where he had many friends. Mike and Marilyn took many trips overseas in their early married life. Just recently, the entire family enjoyed trips to Florida and Mexico.
The Celebration of Michael Andronik’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 22nd, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church, 10102 Middleton Drive, Coldstream. A reception will follow at the church.
