It is with great sadness to announce that Michael James Adkins, 70, of Vernon BC passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the Vernon Jubilee hospital surrounded by the people who loved him most.
Born in Edmonton Alberta to Ormond and Edna Adkins, he lived most of his life in the lower mainland and the last 8 years in the Vernon area.
Michael is survived by his two sons, Sean Adkins of Cherryville BC, Ian Adkins and his wife Adelle of Vernon BC, grandchildren, Lennon, Sienna, Olivia and Jacob, and his sisters Beth and Lynda of Ontario.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ormond and Edna Adkins, and his brother Stephen and twin brother Peter.
A special thank you to all of the nurses and doctors that helped take care of Michael right through to his final days. We are forever grateful for your compassion, kindness and empathy.
Michael requested that there be no service but memorial donations may be made to Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
