It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Michael's passing on Sunday June 14th. Michael is survived by his loving wife Joan, his three children, Amanda, Gillian and Geoffrey, four stepdaughters, Barbara, Jackie, Debbie and Gillian, their partners, 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Michael was born in Sydenham, England on May 11, 1935. After serving two years in the Air Force he immigrated to Canada in 1960 in search of open space and higher mountains.
In 1981 Michael opened Abbey Computer Solutions in Vernon which he operated for nearly 25 years. Michael was also active with the Rotary Club, and on the board of the historic Fintry Estate. When he wasn't working or volunteering, he was pursuing outdoor adventures, capturing memories with his ever-ready camera.
With the current restrictions on gathering size, a celebration of life will be limited to family and close friends. If you wish to celebrate Michael, please consider a donation to the Friends of Fintry or climb a mountain in his honour.
