Mildred Alvina Haycock

We announce the death in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Sunday, August, 14th, 2005 of Mildred Alvina Haycock at the age of 84 years. Millie is survived by her loving family, one son Art (Madge) Haycock of Vernon, two daughters Catherine (Bob) Webb of Vernon, Shirley (Ron) Britten of Vancouver, seven grandchildren, Russell (Lynn) of Coquitlam, Brian (Collette) of Vernon, Michelle (Frank Schober) Danicek, of Vancouver, Derek (Annette) Webb of Vernon, Gary Webb of Vancouver, Christopher Britten of Vancouver, Kathryn Britten of Vancouver, six great-grandchildren: Mckenzie, Sarah, Jennifer, Amy, Kristina, and Cody, one sister Evelyn Reimer of Kamloops, one brother Fred Schunter of Spokane, WA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Milli was predeceased by one brother William (Big Bill) Schunter and one sister Bernice Guenther. Millie was a member of the Back Yard Band, a former member of the Old Time Fiddlers, and a member of the Schubert Centre. Millie was actively involved in the community as a volunteer with the United Way, the Heart and stroke Foundation and the Stroke Club. She loved gardening playing the piano, playing cards, traveling and enjoyed lively political discussion. Millie was the founder of Vernon Business Services, of which she was very proud of building from humble beginnings. She was enthusiastic, outgoing, energetic and determined. She will be sorely missed. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, August 19th, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at the Schubert Centre.
