Mildred Blanche McCreight passed away peacefully in Hospice House on Tuesday, May 6th, 2003 with her loving family by her side. Mildred was a Practical Nurse for many years with the Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Mildred is survived by her loving family, husband Mervyn, three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary (Maureen), Paul, Mike (Pam), five grandchildren, Tamara, Mark, Brittney, Meghan and Haley all of Vernon, five brothers, Fred (Marg), Roy, Barney (Tina), Gayle (Marlene) and Vic (Pearle) Halenby all of Ontario, one sister Chris (John) Brandt of Ontario, four sisters-in-law, Irma Jean Halenby, Doris Knital, Elizabeth McSween and Celeste McCreight and numerous nieces and nephews. Mildred was predeceased by one son Malcolm in 1998, one brother Glen Halenby and two sisters Peach and Pat. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 10th, 2003 at 11:00 AM from the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home with the Reverend Ed Millin officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. A reception will be held in the Pleasant Valley Tea Room.
