Morgan Herbert McCluskey
The family of Morgan McCluskey regret to announce his death in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Saturday, January 5th, 2008 at the age of 80 years, after a long and courageous battle with diabetes. Morgan was predeceased by his loving wife, Lorna on May 23rd, 2007; his parents; one sister and three brothers.
Morgan is survived by two sons, Brian of Penticton, B.C. and David (Carolyn) of Calgary, Alberta; three granddaughters, Sara, Kiana and Kaitlin,
all of Calgary, Alberta; one brother, Albert of Vernon, B.C.; two sisters-in-law, Joan McCluskey of Vernon, B.C. and Marion Schunk of Napanee, Ontario and many nieces and nephews.
Morgan was born and lived his entire life in Vernon. After leaving high school he worked as a Parts-man and then selling logging and mill equipment for many years. He then worked as the purchasing agent for a local hotel until his retirement. Morgan
was also a very proud member of the Vernon Volunteer Fire Department and the Vernon Power Squadron for many years.
Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Morgan’s Life which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 11th, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Mrs. Sheila Odney officiating. A Reception will follow in the Tea Room at Bethel Funeral Chapel.
