It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Morris Alexander Polson on March 13th, 2008 at Kelowna General Hospital. Morris was predeceased by his first wife Margaret, sister Helen Block and son-in-law Wayne Williams. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Pearl, son Wayne (Ann), daughter Gail and sons Cameron and Gene, step-daughter April (Leland), eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Jean Sterling, Marj Johnston, Betty Stroulger and Eileen May and brothers Keith (Yvonne) and Hughie (Marj).
Morris was born in Enderby on October 11th, 1922, to Victor and Elsie Polson. He lived and worked in the Enderby and surrounding area all his life. He farmed in North Enderby and worked at Hill & Son Sawmill but logging was his passion. He worked in the logging industry with his three sons until his retirement in 1991.
He and wife Pearl and faithful pet Fred loved traveling in their motor home, making trips to Vancouver Island, toured the western half of the United States and a major trip across Canada. They also enjoyed many camping trips around B.C. and Alberta but their favourite spot was Riverside Park in Enderby.
Morris lived life to the fullest and will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. A Celebration of his Life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church in Enderby, on Tuesday, March 18th at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canuck Place.
