Feb 17, 2018
With love and gratitude, we announce the passing of Morris Andrushko, just shy of his 97th birthday.  His strength, resilience, daily shot of brandy and a clove of garlic kept him healthy as the last member of his family until he passed peacefully on February 17, 2018.

Survived by his loving wife Olga, whom he celebrated 71 years of marriage with in August 2017, "Tato" to Taras (Rosa), Martha (Doug), Boris, Steven (Luba) and Adele (Dan) and "Dido" to 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Born in Ukraine 1921, immigrated to Vita, MB 1936, settled in Waterford, ON 1953 where he helped foster the Ukrainian Orthodox Church community and served as president for over 40 years, and moved to Vernon, BC in 2013.

Morris's kindness, hospitality, witty humour, and love of his heritage and family will be greatly missed and continue to be honoured by those who loved him.

A celebration of Morris' long life will be held at Heritage Square on Sunday March 11, 2018 at 3:30 pm. We thank the staff of Heritage and Dr. Aucamp for their care and compassion, and the love of his friends and relatives throughout his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Morris's memory to the Heritage Square Recreation Fund at 3904-27th St, Vernon, BC V1T 4X7, would be appreciated.

Vichnaya Pamyat!

Morris wishes us all "Na zdorov'ya!"
