MOORE, Muriel J. (nee Thorp)

Muriel, a long time resident of Vancouver but most recently from Vernon & Salmon Arm, passed away peacefully with family at her side, on Thursday, January 11th, 2007 in Salmon Arm, BC. She was predeceased by her husband, George and a sister, Eileen Moyer. She is survived by one sister Betty Brunner of Parker Cove and one brother Ted (Winona) Thorp of Delta, as well as niece Leanna (Darcy) Kerr and nephews Michael (Ingrid) Brunner of Calgary, and David (Karla) Brunner of Marysville, WA, further survived by one grand niece Erin and six grand nephews, Cory & Sandy Wood, Matthew, Kyle, Todd and Mark Brunner all of whom Muriel cared about a great deal. Muriel made friends so easily wherever she went and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. The family wishes to thank all staff and management at Shuswap Lodge for the care and understanding given to Muriel and family members. A celebration of Muriel’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 20th, 2007 from the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home in Vernon with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating. Cremation. A reception will follow in the Pleasant Valley Tea Room. In lieu of flowers those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Muriel may do so to the charity of your choice.
