1932-2020 ~ We said goodbye to our Mom on October 3, 2020 as she quietly went in her sleep.
She was predeceased by her husband Len in 1999, son Ken in 2017 and daughter Shirley in 2019.
Muriel was born in Alberta in 1932 and moved to BC in 1947. She spent her early years in Langley raising 5 children while looking after the berry farm and caring for the animals. Nearly every summer we would go to Alberta to visit the relatives.
For the last 4 decades she had resided in Vernon with a brief time living in Alberta.
Muriel leaves behind daughters Evelyn (Trev), Maryann (Gary), and son Larry (Debbie). Also, daughter-in-law Linda and son-in-law Rick. Her sisters Violet (Clarence), Aleata, Stella and brother Laverne (Maxine). She will also be missed by her 12 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren, as well as her many nieces and nephews.
All who knew her said she was always happy and had a smile on her face. Muriel enjoyed seeing and spending time with her friends and family. Muriel enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting playing cards, reading books, going to church and travelling.
We wish to thank the staff at The Hamlets for taking good care of mom during her stay with them.
A private ceremony was held by the family.
