November 5, 1951 - February 26, 2023
In loving memory ~
Myron was born on November 5th, 1951 in Edmonton, Alberta and passed away peacefully on February 26th, 2023 in the Kelowna General Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones.
Myron will be tremendously missed by his brother, Walter; loving partner, Brenda Paul; daughter, Wendy (Marc Leonard) Paul; his sister-in-law, Judy Keckalo; many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Russell.
Myron was the youngest of three sons born to William and Anne (Stecyk) Keckalo. In his teenage years he discovered his love of cars and automotive mechanics, which would later become his career. After high school, countless hours were spent helping with fishing tours at his family owned Mink Lake Resort & Campground in Carvel, Alberta. In his early twenties, Myron moved to Vernon and fell in love with the Okanagan Valley. He began his career as a parts salesman before opening "Myron's Repair", his own automotive garage over 40 years ago. He was a hardworking, proud, small business owner with a passion for golf and Nascar racing, who had the kindest smile and gentlest heart.
In respecting Myron's wishes, he was cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. His family extends their sincere thanks and appreciation to the ICU Nurses and Doctors at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, the Kelowna General Hospital, ICU Dr. Ben and the ICU A Nursing Team for your advocacy, support and guidance during the time you so wonderfully cared for Myron.
Cremation arrangements were made with BETHEL FUNERAL CHAPEL LTD. 5605-27th Street, Vernon, B.C. V1T 8Z5 250-542-1187.
