Myrtle Etta Kilbreath

Born on December 14th, 1925 at Marcelin, Saskatchewan and was called Home to be with her Lord and Saviour on January 15th, 2009 at the age of 83 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by three daughters, Grace (Tom) Hart of Lethbridge, Alberta, Cathie (Bob) Harkness and Elaine (Don) Gallacher of Vernon, B.C.; one son, Len and his companion, Joyce, of Vernon, B.C.; a niece who Myrtle raised, Sharron Smith of Whitehorse, Yukon; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Allen Clarke and Bruce (Helen) Clarke of Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan and numerous nieces and nephews. Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Kilbreath; three children, Delbert, Lester and Lois; nine brothers, Wilfred, Arnold, George, Norman, Walter, Russell, Bill, Ben and Glenn; and three sisters, Joyce, Bernice and Margarette.

Myrtle expressed her love to her family by knitting and creating beautiful quilts for them. Her son Len said it best when he said, “Mom lived her life quietly and unassuming but the impact of her life is immeasurable.”

A Graveside Service will take place at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery on Tuesday, January 20th, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. with a Celebration Of Myrtle’s Life following at 11:00 A.M. at the Oasis Of Love Miracle Centre, 4419-29th Street (across from Bakers Dozen) with Pastor Layne Kilbreath officiating.
