Nancy Elizabeth McDonald was born Nancy Elizabeth Langill in Vancouver, B.C. on March 19, 1947, and passed away peacefully with her husband and children by her side on November 1, 2017 at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her husband Norm, to who she was married for 51 years, daughters Karen/Glen Empy, Kimberly/Paul Waterhouse, one son Kevin/Karen McDonald, 7 grandchildren James/Alex, Jordan/Jacinda, Kyle, Morgan, Quintin, Alexander, Stephen, 1 great grandson Mason, 2 others Earl/Benta Langill, of Surrey, BC, Geoff/Margot Langill of Vancouver, BC. Along with many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl/Betty Langill, and Stepfather Al Mackenzie.

Nancy loved to sing, she sang as a soloist and in many choirs, she touched so many lives and hearts with her love of the Lord, her love of music and the joy it brought her singing for all of us.

Nancy's greatest accomplishment was winning The Choral competition which was to sing with the Okanagan Symphony. Nancy was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and a thoughtful friend to so many.

Nancy graduated from Sir Charles Tupper School in 1965 and married Norm on May 28, 1966. They lived in Vancouver, Mission and Vernon.

Cremation preceded a Celebration of Life, which will be at Grace Bible Church, 5661 Silver Star Road, Vernon, BC on November 11, 2017 @ 1:00 p.m. with a reception to follow.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Murphy, Dr. Hardy, all the Cancer Nurses, and office staff in the Cancer Clinic, who helped Nancy with her journey with her cancer.

The family would also like to thank Pastor Pat Stich, Moms special sister friend Rita Wernike, and her special friends in the Breakfast Club and Bible Study.

As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Nancy to the VJH McMurtry-Baerg Cancer Clinic.
