With family by her side, a loving goodbye was said to Nancy Richardson. Nancy past away in the early morning hours of February 11, 2019.
Nancy had a beautiful spirit, innate gentleness, loved life, and epitomized the word class.
She was often described as having a gracious spirit with an insightful wisdom. She was a great judge of character and whether she was known as Nancy, Bopa, or Nana, she will be sorely missed by all that knew her. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, aunt, sister, and Nana. She had an amazing connection with her four grandchildren, and cared deeply for them.
Nancy emigrated to Canada from Wales in 1957 with her husband George. Eventually the two settled in Vernon where they raised their two children. She had a great ability to make friends and had a wide circle of them. Nancy spent many years with the Sweet Adelines and enjoyed singing very much. She was known for her decades of volunteer work and work with the multicultural society.
Nancy will be dearly missed by her husband of 65yrs George, son Gareth with wife Catherine and granddaughters Amanda and Emily, her daughter Sian with husband Scott and grandsons Dylan and Rhys.
Nancy had 8 siblings and is survived by her brother Graham and a long line of nephews, nieces, grand and great grand nephews and nieces.
A memorial to celebrate her life will be held later this year.
