It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dad, Nelson Brandle, on January 10th, 2017, at Pleasant Valley Manor, Armstrong, B.C. He passed away peacefully in the company of his family.

Nelson will forever be remembered by his three sons, Tim (Janice), Bryon (Sue), Rick (Michele); eight grandchildren, Christopher, Melissa, Tommy, Lorelei, Christie, Gina, Mark and David; seven great-grand-children; two brothers, John Brandle of Saskatchewan and Eddie (Ursula) Brandle of Alberta; one sister Helen Brandle; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years Mary Brandle; parents, Peter and Mary; three brothers Steve, Adam, Peter: Sisters, Anne MacIntosh, Irma Gerein and Eva Brandle.

Nelson was born on March 1st, 1927 in Scott, Saskatchewan. He grew up in a farm with his brothers and sisters near Tramping Lake, Saskatchewan. He was very active in the Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He moved to Vernon in December of 1972 with his wife Mary and son Rick. Over the years Nelson was a banker, built many successful Real Estate and Insurance Brokerages in Saskatchewan and British Columbia. He was also a real estate appraiser for the Royal Bank of Canada and a real estate developer.

Nelson made many friends in the community and spent most of his free time with his family enjoying golfing, snow skiing, fishing, hunting and music. He made a tremendous impact in our lives and set an example for the family that we continue to emulate. We are sad to see him go, but smile to think that he is back in the arms of his loving wife and surrounded by his parents, brothers and sisters.
