Neville O'Grady Passed to his rest Sunday, March 24, 2019.
Neville died very suddenly with all his daughters and family present in the Squamish hospital. It appears that his lungs gave up his struggle for life and he just fell asleep and never woke up.
Neville moved to Canada with his children from Australia after the death of his first wife Thelma, who had died with cancer.
Neville was a very active member of Toastmasters and became an ardent politician when he ran for MP of the Action party ticket in 2008. He also was the vice president of the Action party membership drive and his enthusiasm was its life blood for many years.
He moved to the Cherryville area around 2001 where he planned to set up a garage as a skilled heavy-duty mechanic. He was also a very skilled machinist as well.
He is survived by his two daughters Noleen and Marian Lynsey, and son Lynsey O'Grady. He also had four granddaughters: Kylie, Britney, Ashley, and Jessica, and one grandson Mathew and four great grandchildren.
Neville became a charter member of the Richlands Community Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cherryville and was an ardent believer in the soon return of Christ.
A memorial service in his memory is planned to take place at this church located on the corner of Creighton Valley Road and Hammond Rd in Cherryville. The service will be Sunday, May 26th at 2 pm. All are welcome, to come and share memories. His eager smile and enthusiasm for life will be greatly missed by those who were privileged to know him.
