Nicholas Klim

Nick was born February 28,1918 in Glentworth, Saskatchewan. He passed away January 24,2007, in Kamloops, B.C. at the age of 88, One month shy of his 89th birthday.

Nick enjoyed a long, happy and productive life right until the end.

He spent his early years helping his parents John and Anne Klim on their farm in Saskatchewan, the family later moved to Vernon, B.C. where he met and married the love of his life, Alice. They moved from Vemon to Savona and in 1967, they settled in Kamloops where they raised their four children; Bob, lionita, Tim & Terry.

Nick worked as a heavy duty mechanic for many years while supporting his children in their sporting activities. In retirement Nick was an active resident at Cottonwood Manor. It was there that he spent his time socializing, playing cards, and helping those around him. In his seventies; he took up curling and lawn bowling. He was well known to family and friends for his friendliness, humor and especially his witty sayings.

Nick is survived by his wife; Alice, Four children; Bob (Gloria) of St. Albert, AB, Booita (Jack) of Vancouver, B,C.) Tim (Deb) of Bumaby B.C., Terry (Deborah) of Lafayette, CA, and his seven grandchildren; Amanda, Jan-el, Kaelin, Paddy, Kayla, Ty and Brendan, Also his two sisters, Natalie (Joe) Welker of Vemon, B.C., Pat Klea of Penticton, B.C., and his two brothers; Harry (Shirley) of Vernon, B.C. and Wally (Alice) of Vemon, B.C. He is predeceased by; his parents John and Anne Klim, his brother, John, and two sisters, Chris and Anne.

As per his wishes, no memorial service will be held, though he will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

Dad, we remember and appreciate you as an inspiration to raising our own families, the love and example you have left will be with us always.
