MR. NICHOLAS KOTYLAK, long-time resident of Enderby, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2003, at Pleasant Valley Manor, Armstrong, at the age of 83 years. Survived by loving family: daughters Dixie Kotylak and Dianne Altmeyer; sons-in-law Colin McLean and Dennis Altmeyer; grandchildren Karyn (Dean) Norlin and Jason (Melanie) Altmeyer; great-grandchildren Holly and Landon Altmeyer, Jayden Norlin; godchild Linda Fedyniak of Vernon; brothers and sisters Steve, Harry, Katie, Tillie, Mary, all of Edmonton and Eva of Vernon and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by: loving wife Louise in 2001 and son Michael in 1992; brothers John and Peter. Nick was born Wednesday, December 3, 1919 in Alberta. Married Louise Nov. 20, 1943. Not long after they moved to Enderby with Louise’s parents to help run the family business, Enderby Hotel. After leaving the hotel business, Nick was employed by Baird Brothers in Enderby and did logging, sawmilling and ranching. He enjoyed the out-of-doors, hunting and fishing. Prayers will be recited 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 17, 2003, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Enderby. Father Leo Boyd, O.M.I. celebrant. Interment in the family plot at Cliffside Cemetery in Enderby. Tea will be held following the service. In lieu of flowers, friends may donate to Pleasant Valley Manor in Armstrong or to Memorial Masses. Messages of sympathy may be e-mailed to mvfh@canada.com.
