It is with great pain and sadness that we announce the passing of our son Nicholas Tal Salisbury. He arrived in this world nine weeks early on Christmas morning at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital in 1985. Nick passed away suddenly on August 19, 2012 leaving us far too early.

Nick had a passion for music and loved playing the drums. He was kind hearted, generous and loved to make people laugh. Nick was soft spoken but he always had a great deal to say. Nick loved the earth, but saw the problems in the world. He opened our eyes and hearts to many things going on around the world and fought to make changes. You can see Nick’s latest attempt to focus our attention on positive change at the web site that he designed in his spare time (

Nick’s memory will be carried on by his parents Tal and Brenda, sister Colby, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We love you and miss you Nick, our family will continue to bring attention to the things you were passionate about and try for positive change.

There will be a celebration of life to honor Nick’s spirit on Sunday, September 23rd 2012 starting at 1:30 PM. The celebration will be held at the Paddle Wheel Park hall on Okanagan Landing Road in Vernon.

If you wish to make a donation in Nick’s memory we will have a donation box set up at the celebration of life. All donations made will go to the “Ribbons of Green Trail Society” to help restore the BX falls trail. A trail our family has enjoyed for many years.
