In loving memory ~
The Greenwell siblings—Rory, Tracey, Mira, and Kim—are saddened to share that their mom, Noreen Kelly Greenwell, passed away on Saturday, December 18. Kelly touched so many lives. Maybe she taught you English as a Second Language when you first arrived in Canada. Perhaps she helped to organize a UNICEF collection drive in your neighborhood one Halloween. If you're especially lucky, you might have a much coveted "Kelly Sweater" in your closet. You may have worked with her, or benefited from her care, at one of AImHi's residential care homes in Prince George. Or you might have known her only as the daily "Turkey Sandwich Lady" if you worked at a certain Tim Horton's. Others will remember her younger years in Newcastle upon Tyne, where she grew up with her younger brother Alec and attended Heaton Girls' School. And most recently, you might have met her through the Santa's Anonymous group in Vernon, or seen her walking laps at Kal Centre, where she invariably got to know everyone who either walked or worked there. Regardless of the where and when, if you knew her, then you know how incredibly special she was, and how dearly she will be missed. No memorial service is planned, but donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Canada, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or your local hospice facility.
