Norman James Iverson

We regret to announce the passing of Norman James Iverson at Grindrod on Thursday, January 26, 2006. Norman will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years Leverne of Grindrod; four sons John (Lara) of Spruce Grove, Ab., Lorne ( Adele) of Grindrod, Doug (Diane) of Enderby and David (Tanya) of Armstrong; grandchildren Amy, Ellissa, Russ, Nicholas, Bryce, Jason, Nicole, Tyrel, Laura, Kianna and Ashton; great-granddaughter Abigail. Also left to mourn him are his brother Fred (Marge) Iverson of Cochrane, Ab., sister Kathy (Joe) Krotenko of Preeceville, Saskatchewan.; extended family and many friends. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Edith and one son Neil in 1985. Norman was born at Chilliwack on August 24, 1925. In his late teens he moved from Chilliwack to Kitchen, Saskatchewan. Norman spent most of his working life in the logging industry. He met and married Leverne in Preeceville in 1955. They moved to Calgary then to Quesnel and finally settled in Grindrod. Norman was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. A Celebration of Life was held at the Enderby Legion Hall on Tuesday, January 31, 2006, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 202 – 3402-27th Avenue, Vernon, BC V1T 1S1.
