We regret to announce the death at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on March 11, 2013, of Norman G. Schulz, at the age of 77 years.

Norm was born and educated in Vernon and started a long career with the Government of BC in the Vernon Courthouse. Over the years, Norm rose through the ranks and was the Government Agent in several northern BC communities. He also served as a judge and as a coroner for many years, both in the North and in more recent years, here in Vernon.

Norm loved hockey with a passion and was fan, referee, coach and active player most of his life.

Norm was predeceased by his parents, brothers Dick and Eric, and son Norman Jr. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Phyllis; son Michael and granddaughter Dominique. He is also survived by brother Hugh, sister Erma, and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A private graveside committal service was held with Pastor Richard Schulz officiating. A memorial service to celebrate Norm’s life will be announced at a future date. Arrangements are in the care of Vernon Funeral Home 250-542-0155.
