The family of Olive Rawlins Dent wishes to inform you that she has left to join her husband Thomas Dent. She passed away peacefully with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren by her side on Monday October 10 2022 in Williams Lake BC.
Our Mom/Gran /GG had a long, loving and fulfilled life. Born and raised in the Lower Mainland (Ladner-Delta), she met and married Dad. They resided in the Cariboo-Chilcotin for many years and eventually moved to and retired in the Lumby and later, Vernon area.
Mom was known for her independent cast of mind, unwavering adherence to her opinion and principles and artistic creativity. She was the creator and proprietor of Vernon Presents, A Festival of Crafts for many years. She was involved with and participated in many of the Okanagan's Craft fairs. Mom's other dedicated involvements were The Vernon Farmers Market and Creative Chaos and her many friends and customers
She is survived by her children, Cindy (Robin), Lynn (Cal). Her grandchildren, Margaret (David), Vicky, Thomas and great grandchildren Wyatt (Faith), Paige, Madi, Mayci and Hunter.
She was predeceased by her life long love and husband of 64 years Thomas A. Dent (2017) and her son Allen W. Dent (2020).
There will be no service or Celebration of Life as per Mom's request. Mom and Dad's ashes will be put together and spread by the family.
When I come to the end of my journey, And I travel my last weary mile
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned, And remember only the smile.
