December 7, 1940 - January 24, 2020
We regret to announce the death of Patricia Ann Tribes on January 24, 2020 after a short illness, with her family by her side.
Pat was born December 7, 1940 in Amisk, Alberta, then moved to Edmonton where she received her RN diploma in 1961. She worked as such in Sacramento, CA for a short time, as well as in Steinbach, Manitoba, then back in Edmonton.
In December 1965 she met Klaus, and they married in May of 1966. Two sons came along over the next few years, then a move to Vernon, BC. There they opened the town's original Boston Pizza restaurant on 30th Avenue, which they operated for 38 years, the last 18 of which under the name KT's Family Restaurant.
After that, she enjoyed several happy years of retirement, reading voraciously, supporting her Seahawks, and spending time with family and friends. Pat was predeceased by her mother Myrtle and her father Will Maher. Pat is survived by Klaus, her husband of 54 years, sons Trevor and Ian, and of course her big furry kid, Jake. She requested there be no formal service, but a celebration of her life will be held in the Spring.
