Patricia "Pat" MacDonald (nee Hunt) was born in Vernon, BC and died peacefully at Noric House surrounded by her family. Pat was a wonderful homemaker who loved her sister and best friend Joan (Walt), she also thoroughly enjoyed camping on Okanagan Lake, gardening, hiking, and curling. She always said how fortunate she was to be able to live in this beautiful city. She was a tremendously loving mother to Joan (Graydon) and Doug, and then became a loving grandmother to Neil and Heather (Matthew). She was also a loving and devoted wife to Gordon; to whom she married in 1948 until his death in 2015. Gordon and Pat were happily married for 67 years and lived in many different cities in BC, including Vancouver, Penticton and Nelson, before permanently settling in Vernon. Pat and Gordon enjoyed multiple decades as snowbirds in Arizona where they also enjoyed golfing and square dancing. Pat was well known for her sense of humor and could put a smile on anyone's face. The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone at Noric House who were instrumental in providing care and compassion in the last years of Pat's life. In honor of Pat's memory, the family requests that anyone wishing to do so, may make a memorial donation to Noric House in Vernon, BC or to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
