June 19, 1932 - November 21, 2024

In loving memory ~

Paul was born on June 19th, 1932 in Weissenburg, Switzerland to Gottfried and Hulda (nee Stucki) Knutti. He grew up on a small farm in Simmental. He later became a truck driver and eventually imported cars from Germany to Switzerland.

In 1959 Paul came to Canada settling in Port Coquitlam where he worked as a logger at Pit Lake, Port Alberni on Vancouver Island, and Priest Lake, Idaho. He left the logging industry in 1967 and went to work for the City of Maple Ridge.

Paul was a very busy man and even built his own home at Whonnock, hoping to start his own farm but it just didn't work out so he left there and moved to Vernon in 1983. Here he bought a small apartment block and became his own landlord. Paul was a generous man with his time and was always there to help anyone when help was needed.

During his lifetime Paul was a baker, logger, truck driver, farmer and landlord but he was happiest when we could go to any lake with his boat and camp.

Paul passed away peacefully in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on November 21st, 2024 at the age of 92 years. He is survived by his brother Andy in Vancouver, B.C. and numerous relatives in Switzerland.

In respecting Paul's wishes, he was cremated and there will be no service held.
