In Loving Memory ~ Paul Kutsche, aged 82, went home to the Lord early Sunday morning, September 5th, 2021.
He leaves behind his wife of 57 years Rena, three adult children, and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his older sisters Anne, Halina, and Helen, and his younger brother John.
Paul was born in eastern Poland in 1939, shortly before the Soviet invasion and the outbreak of WWII. He was the sixth of seven children born to Ludwig and Olga Kutsche. In 1940, Paul's family was forced to flee Soviet occupied Poland for Germany where his family lived until immigrating to Canada when Paul was 13 years old.
He lived in Ontario until moving to Vancouver where he met his wife Rena and raised three children. He was self-employed, servicing washers and dryers until he retired and moved to Vernon in 1989.
Paul was a quiet man of deep faith who loved the outdoors and playing sports. He was active with the Gleaners for many years and also played in Vernon's Slo-pitch (softball) League. In recent years his health declined due to Parkinson's. We are grateful that he was able to pass away peacefully in his own home and that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
"Your sun shall no longer go down, nor shall your moon withdraw itself; for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended." Isaiah 60:20
