It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved sister and sister-in-law, Pauline Cummings. Pauline was born in Calgary August 18, 1931 and died suddenly but peacefully after a long brave battle with COPD in Vernon September 12, 2016. She is survived by her sisters Shirley MacKay of Comox, baby sister Gerry Marson (Denis) of Vernon. She was predeceased by her parents Zelma and Jacob, two sisters Irene and Jean, two brothers Bob and Percy. Although she did not have children of her own she was a special, devoted Aunt and will be sorely missed by all of her numerous nephews and nieces that she so dearly loved.

Pauline moved to Seattle as a young woman and worked at Macy’s Department store for a number of years before returning to Canada and eventually to Vernon some forty years ago where she worked at Dairyland until her retirement in 1995. After retirement she became a life time member of the Schubert Centre and a diligent volunteer there into her eighties until her battle with COPD became too much for her to continue doing a service that she so thoroughly enjoyed. She was also a member of the Schubert Red Hats.

A private family grave side service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the B.C. Lung Association or Schubert Centre.
