Pauline Gancher passed away March 7, 2005 at the age of 75 years. Lovingly remembered by three daughters, Linda Gancher (Paul Easton) of Langley, BC, Darlene (Greg) Larsen of Vernon, BC and Debbie (Dave) Petruschak of Revelstoke, BC., 4 grandchildren – Jase, Aaron, Bradley and Jodi, and one great grandchild, Logan as well as many nieces and nephews. Three sisters, Ollie, Betty and Rose. She is predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Gancher, three sisters, Marion, Effie and Verna, and two brothers, Ernie and Steve. Pauline was born in Dauphin, Manitoba and moved to Revelstoke with her family in 1965. She was known in her community as a very ambitious and astute business woman, ready to take on any challenge or adventure. She spent one year in the northern elements of Tumbler Ridge, returned to Revelstoke, then decided to set up permanent residence in Vernon in 1983, where she again went into business: the first being North Okanagan School of Hair Dressing, and the last being Discovery Hair Care. Failing health forced her to retire early, but she never wavered in her relentless determination and limitless energy to achieve a lifestyle she was so proud of.
The service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2005 at 2:30 pm at Our Lady of the Valley Church.
