Pauline “Polly” Wynn

November 13, 1917 – May 17, 2012

We would like to acknowledge the passing of our Mother on May 17, 2012. Pauline was born in Whitesand, Saskatchewan, the 7th of 11 children, born to Fred and Pearl Spelchan. The family continued to live here for 3 more years. They then moved to a farm in Spallumcheen. She married Dan Wynn in 1935 and they purchased a farm near her parents. It was here they raised their 3 sons and lived there until they sold the farm in 1963 and moved to Armstrong. In 1972 Dan passed away and Polly moved into Vernon where she spent her remaining years. Pauline had a lovely voice and enjoyed singing in the church choir. In addition she loved playing cards, especially Canasta; was a fantastic cook; loved sports, especially curling, the Canucks and B.C. Lions. She always took pride in her appearance. She always thought of herself as young and enjoyed helping others of any age. She loved her family and was a great defender of them. Pauline is the last of the Fred Spelchan family. She is survived by her 3 sons; George (Judy), John (Joanne) and Larry (Muriel); 10 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Mom’ s request was for a family tea with all her Grandchildren. We will honour her request this summer. Please no flowers. If you wish, take some time and enjoy your families. We wish to thank the Noric House staff for the love and care given to Mom. You are special people. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to
