It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Pearl Elaine Pharo on February 24th, 2017 at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital in Vernon, BC. Pearl was born on September 21st, 1928 in Thetford Mines, Quebec, where she became a devoted High School Teacher for many years and is still remembered by many of her students today. She and her beloved husband Eric retired to Vernon, BC in 1986 where they made many new friends and Pearl continued her love for gardening, reading and travelling with her husband Eric. Pearl was a very active member at the All Saints Anglican Church in Vernon, BC. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Pearl is predeceased by her husband Eric, brothers Max and Stuart, sisters Mary and Pauline and parents Loretta and Max. She is survived by her daughters Sharon and Patty, son Lee, 8 grandchildren; Shannon, Lyndsay, Anthony, Leah, Amanda, Pamela, Robin and Erin, 4 great-grandchildren; Noah, Alyssa, Hailey and Lincoln. Pearl is now at peace with her beloved Eric. There will be a Celebration of Life held for Pearl at 10:00am on Thursday, March 2nd, 2017 at the All Saints Anglican Church (3205 27th Street, Vernon, BC).
