PEGGY TAYLOR

Peggy (Eva Margaret Ostrom) Taylor

Born April 29th, 1923

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peggy Taylor. She died peacefully in hospital the morning of September 10th, after a brief illness, following a week’s holiday with family. Her four children (Ann, Brock, Margot and Scott) were at her bedside until the end. She is also survived by six grandchildren (Gabriel, Chloe, Ryan, Caitlin, Damien and Thierry) and one great granddaughter (Morgan). She was predeceased by her husband Leonard Taylor, who died in September 1988. Peggy and Len had an amazing life, living overseas (Venezuela, Iran, Pakistan) for periods of time – taking the whole family along, always coming back to BC in between. They lived in many parts of BC – Vancouver, Quesnel, Port Alice, Prince George, and Kitimat – finally settling for retirement in Vernon. Peggy will be sorely missed by her family and friends, particularly those from her many years as an ardent golfer, Tai Chi practitioner and duplicate bridge player.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Church on Monday, September 15th at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Peggy’s memory could be sent to a palliative care unit of choice; she and her children were very grateful for the wonderful care she received at the palliative care unit at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital (www.sphf.ca).
