Peter (Pieter) Frans Blokker passed away unexpectedly January 11, 2018 in the Netherlands, while traveling to the World Masters Speedskating Championships in Italy. He was 84.
Peter was born in Noord-Scharwoude, North Holland, emigrated to Canada, and worked for the Ministry of Highways in northern BC until he retired. His passions were bird watching, speed skating, cross country skiing, cycling, and travel.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Gerda, his daughter Marina (Martin), son Karl (Cora), son Matthew (Sandra) and grandchildren Lucas, Mieka, Tyrese, and Maya, as well as his brother Karl, Sister Elly (Koos), and extended family in Europe.
